Fair enough. Of course, a bigger issue is why those 2 parties are competing with one another at all, given that they’re so similar, instead of forming a unified alternative.

Hi Peter. That is great that the New Blue Party of Ontario has recognition of the dignity of human life in their principles. However, I would be interested in what specific legislation and regulations a New Blue government would introduce to reduce the abortion and assisted suicide rates in Ontario. Perhaps in the next election they can present that more clearly. Or, perhaps they will include such policies in their platform before election day next week. In the meantime, we can only go with what is publicly available.

Not all of the parties have the same format of platform, though, or are trying to do the same thing with it. E.g., the Ontario Party one is the equivalent of many pages, whereas the New Blue “New Blueprint” was deliberately designed to be one page only, in “contract” form. But note that the official “Principles” in the constitution of the New Blue Party speak of “recognizing the inherent value and dignity of human life from conception to natural death.” So it’s an officially pro-life party whereas surprisingly, there’s nothing in the Ontario Party “Charter” about the unborn at all. So my point is that the platforms of these 2 parties are different KINDS of documents, and I think it can be misleading to compare the parties solely on those.

Hi Rick, thank you for your comments. We are a political pro-life organization and are solely focused on the issues of abortion and assisted suicide. We did not create the various party platforms; if you are not happy with a political party’s platform on pro-life issues, then you should contact that party and their candidate in your riding to inform them as such. I am sorry if you were misled that we were anything but a political pro-life organization focused on nominating and electing pro-life politicians.
