Keep Euthanasia Out of Delta Hospice!

We, the undersigned draw the attention of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia to the following:

Whereas, the freedoms of conscience, thought, and expression are guaranteed in Section 2 (a) and(b) of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms;

Whereas, the Delta Hospice Society was founded to provide support for families with life-threatening diagnoses;

Whereas, the Delta Hospice Society has assisted thousands of patients through tens of thousands of volunteer hours;

Whereas, the Delta Hospice Society is being forced by the provincial government to provide assisted suicide against their beliefs;

Therefore, we, the undersigned petitioners, call upon Legislative Assembly of British Columbia to:

restore full funding to the Delta Hospice Society and to not force the Society to engage in Medical Assistance in Dying (assisted suicide) either directly or through effective referral.
