In response to the Trump administration in the United States, the Justin Trudeau government announced in March 2017 that they would fund $650-million worth of abortions overseas, using Canadian tax dollars. Some of the recipient organizations have included International Planned Parenthood and Marie Stopes, which has been caught providing illegal abortions in Africa. Tell Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to use our taxpayer dollars wisely and to stop funding International Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers overseas!
We, the undersigned residents of Canada draw the attention of the House of Commons to the following:
Whereas, the issue of abortion is very divided domestically in Canada;
Whereas, the Justin Trudeau government has committed $650-million to fund overseas abortions using taxpayer dollars, during a time when Canada is facing decades of trillions of dollars of debt;
Whereas, a portion of the $650-million for overseas abortions has gone to Marie Stopes, an organization that has been caught providing numerous illegal abortions in Africa;
Therefore, we, the undersigned petitioners, call upon the House of Commons to:
cease and desist of all funding of international abortions using federal taxpayer dollars.
