In my view, Andrew Scheer has the youth, energy, positive outlook, intelligence, wit, parliamentary experience, conservative values, etc. that could enable him to run a vigorous campaign to replace the Trudeau Liberals in 2019. He needs to continue to polish his French skills and to connect with all 338 CPC local riding associations and generate 100,000 campaign volunteers, especially in Canada’s major cities. He likely needs to defend freedoms indicated in our Charter and a careful butt balanced immigration policy while conceding Muslims to the Liberals (as an outcome of M-103). A major challenge is to win union members and First Nations.
